From raising awareness and supporting strategy, to committing to change and fighting for justice the work towards a slave-free world comes down to just one thing: People.

Each story of sex slavery, human trafficking, bonded labor or domestic servitude is the story of a person. The mother, sister, daughter, son that is living the life of a slave is the reason we support another cause, hand out another flyer, have another conversation.

Supporting the vulnerable and ensuring their safety is the work of Compasio Thailand. They protect children, support families and empower communities of some of the most at-risk and they do it with heart.  From drop-in centers and safe homes to youth mentorship and medical care, they constantly remind their supporters and volunteers that it is all about the human story.

Allan Brown, the founder of Compasio Thailand explains, “We are not dealing with issues and problems here, we are dealing with people. We are seeing through greater issues into individual lives of little boys and little girls and their moms and their dads and their communities.”

ACTION: Give from the heart

Research and find a personal story of human trafficking. Be reminded that each action is an action towards the freedom of a human being.

There are many organizations and non-profits supporting freedom. Find one, or a couple, that you commit to supporting through your actions and finances.
