An Action to help raise awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life.

Many kids in developing countries have to walk miles to school, clean water and get medical help, without wearing any shoes!
By walking barefoot millions of kids are at risk of injuries, infections and soil-transmitted diseases that most families can’t afford to treat.

One for one

In 2006, the American Blake Mycoskie went to Argentina and found that the kids there were not wearing any shoes to protect their feet. A big compassion and a willingess to help lead Blake to start TOMS Shoes. He returned to Argentina a year later with 10 000pair of shoes.
TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for one. By using the purchasing power of individuals it will benefit for the greater good.
